Leslie in the Flesh

Friday night we caught the Leslie show at this heavy metal/butt rock bar called the Satyricon. I brought my friend KT with me, she's from the midwest so she "gets it". Before the show we were waiting in line for the bathrooms and it was just KT and I hanging out waiting for the show to start when one of the bathroom doors popped open a crack and Leslie (in the flesh) stuck her gold-lame covered head out. She ushered KT in and I remained in the hallway alone and utterly jealous that Leslie invited KT to pee with her! When KT came out she said she asked Leslie (while on the pot) what she was going to bring to the show to make it better, what would she do that hasn't been done before. Apparently Leslie placed her index finger across KT's lips to shush her and said her performance would speak for itself. Thats how cool Leslie is, she lets people pee in her bathroom and she gives good show. I have the pictures to prove it!

Alexandre Herchcovitch Designer Scab Covers

In the past I used to use my Hermes scarves to stop the bleeding when I was injured. Now when i have a laceration there's no need to ruin any more designer accessories thanks to Alexandre Herchovitch for Johnson & Johnson Band-aids. An unusual combination but in this day and age who hasnt collaborated?! Next thing you know it will be Chanel x Home Depot or Victor & Rolf x jelly-beans or Hungry Eyes x Tampax.
Designer Band-aids available at Opening Ceremony someday soon.

Lanvin + Acne.....

Equals... really fucking expensive denim.

Says Lanvin head designer, Alber Elbaz, "I've started conceptualizing all of this not so long ago," said the designer "I was very pleased when I started working with Acne. They're just young, energetic sexy Swedes and our partnership really wasn't about signing hardcore contracts, it was really just about creating something that was mutually fun and creative."

The collection will be available at Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman at the end of November and looks to offer something for every age. Dresses, tuxedo jacket, belted trench, blouson and, naturally, jeans are among the collection.

Prices starting at a whopping $1,000. Whats with everything being so extremely priced these days? I can buy a wardrobe from Forever 21 for under $200 or I could buy the button off a sleeve of a Lanvin+Acne jacket. Whats left in the middle? Tell me, I want it.

Whatchoo Know About Leslie and the Ly's?

It's one part spandex, one part perfomrance art, one part fringe, one part gem sweater, one part mid-west, one part hilarious, one part annoying, and all parts RING-A-DING-DING! (It's a Leslie thing) Leslie and the Ly's is kind a guilty pleasure for me. I've seen her perform and I know it's so novelty and Vice mag but whatever, I still enjoy watching her wiggle in that gold spandex fringed body suit. Dont be too cool to go see her. The Queen of Gem is coming to a town near you.
She has the best e-cards, check out her website.

Hungry Eyes, wait no, Wolves!

Nina, you asked me what you should do in Berlin...

Photos are from'Head On' by Cai Guo-Qiang at the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin. It was a fascinating exhibit to be up close to.

"The installation consists of 99 life-sized wolves, fabricated from painted sheepskins and stuffed with hay and metal wires, barreling in a continous stream towards - and into - a glass wall. Only the first ones crash into it, but the pack chases after the leader."
